What is a LYS Branch?
A Leaders for Youth Sports (LYS) Branch gives motivated young leaders an opportunity to bring the mission of Leaders for Youth Sports to their own communities. Working with the LYS team, leaders are supported as they host programming to make youth sports more accessible for children in their local area.
An LYS Branch consists of Branch Leaders, who represent Leaders for Youth Sports and drive the vision and impact of their branches. Branches are typically high school and middle school students, who found an LYS Branch as a club through their school, and gather student volunteers to host programming for local community members.
Branch leaders will have access to:
-
Step-by-step toolkit guides, walking through how to host high-impact programming
-
Mentorship from experienced members of the Leaders for Youth Sports team
-
A community of young leaders all working to make youth sports more equitable
